What is Aura?

Aura is Walther's literary and art magazine. It is an opportunity for students to publish their creative work and to see the wealth of creative talent and perspectives in this school.

Who can participate? If you are a writer or an artist, submit your work to Aura . Entries will be published in two ways :

•  All submissions will be posted on the upcoming Aura website

•  A selection of the year's submissions will be published in the Aura magazine, which will be printed and distributed at the end of the school year.

If you are interested in serving on the Aura staff, come to our Wednesday afternoon meetings (Room 203 at 3:00).

What kind of material can I submit? Aura includes drawings, paintings, poetry, short stories, devotions, written music, photography, etc.

To maintain professional quality, we ask that you consider some important guidelines:

•  Artwork should be on blank, not lined, paper.

•  Be aware, printing will most likely be in black and white.

•  Written material should be typed and of professional, final draft quality.

•  The Aura staff will format the magazine; writers should specify if a certain font is preferred.

When and how do I submit my material? You may enter your work anytime before March 6 th ,2009. Enter as much as you like; the staff will determine what will be published in the final magazine.

You may bring a hard copy of your work to Mrs. Quest in Room 203; however, e-mail is preferred. Send electronic submissions to walther_aura@hotmail.com .
