Dear
Monday Night Band Parent(s),
Monday
Night Band has had an exciting, challenging 1st semester, including
three successful concerts. This is a
talented group of young musicians, and they have tremendous potential.
Unfortunately, some students have exhibited unacceptable behavior during Monday Night Band rehearsals, such as inattentiveness and talking while the directors are teaching. Such behavior disrupts the rehearsal and limits the group’s ability to perform at the level of its very high potential.
Beginning Monday, February 13th, the following procedures will be used when a student exhibits disruptive behavior:

1st time: Verbal warning.
2nd time: Student will leave rehearsal for 10 minutes.
3rd time: A letter will be sent to the student’s parent(s), requesting that the problem be addressed at home.
4th time: Student calls home and must be picked up from rehearsal immediately. Parents must have a conference with Mr. Rose before student will be readmitted to Monday Night Band.
You
have made an investment by enrolling your child in the Walther Grade School
band program. Your child is important to
us, and it is our goal for every student to receive the maximum benefit from
his/her time in Monday Night Band.
Thank
you for your support. Please call Mr.
Rose with any questions.
In
the Lord’s peace,
Mr.
Richard Rose
