It was a full first week of school at Walther. Students went on field trips to downtown Chicago, where the group below met up with some Red Hat Society members. Some students got to see Cloudgate (aka The Bean) at Millennium Park and tour the lakeshore. Thursday afternoon a big storm hit so students at sports practices and those returning from field trips had to take cover in the hallways are the tornado sirens sounded. Friday night the Bronco cheerleaders and Poms squad got the crowd cheering loud at the Booster pep rally and on Satuday the frosh/soph football team's 9-0 victory over Ridgewood was a good send off for the varsity gridmen who headed downstate to Oakland for a 36-6 win.
