| The 3rd Annual Phil's Friends Walkathon is on Sunday, May 4, at Walther. It's a day filled with live music, live radio broadcasts, great food, testimonies from cancer patients, games for all ages, prizes, a hot rod show, a silent auction, care package assembly, fair booths, and walking to raise money for the Phil's Friends care package ministry. The outreach, geared to “Pointing Cancer Patients Heavenward Through Christ Jesus” will touch hundreds of cancer patients with the love of Jesus. The walkathon is from 12 to 5:30 p.m. followed by a concert featuring contemporary Christian music artists “33 Miles” and Mark Schultz on stage. Concert admission is free to walkers with pledges and $10 for those only attending the concert. Visit philsfriends.org to register or for more information. |
