It’s a fine art culture weekend at Walther! On Friday and Saturday, November 2 and 3 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, November 4 at 3 p.m., Walther Lutheran High School presents the classic tragic romance, “Romeo and Juliet.” Concurrently, the school holds it debut Juried Media Show showcasing student and alumni work. Media exhibition hours are 6 to l0:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The stage production will pair contemporary elements with traditional staging and Italian sword play. Admission to the play is $8 per adult and $5 per child, senior citizen or high school student with i.d. Admission to the Juried Media Show is free and some art will be for sale. Limited concessions will be available during the play intermission and the staff of Walther’s literary magazine, aura, will be holding a bake sale full of goodies to take home or enjoy on site. Walther Lutheran High School is at 900 Chicago Ave. (9th and Chicago) in Melrose Park.
