“LOST AND FOUND” BRINGS ‘SPEEDWOOD’ SOUND TO WALTHER ON MAY 18
Walther Lutheran High School presents an evening of entertainment and music with the unique and inspiring duo, “Lost and Found.” The concert is on Sunday, May 18, at 7 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
“Lost and Found” is Michael Bridges and George Baum. George plays piano, and Michael plays guitar. Stylistically, the music of “Lost and Found” has been labeled “speedwood” or “acoustic thrash,” a unique kind of “hyper-folk” and even “sound at the intersection of the Ramones and John Denver.” On their first tour, this unusual performance pair traveled from New York to St. Louis, to Miami, to San Diego, to Seattle and back to New York on bicycles. During those 340 days, they sang more than 260 times at schools, camps, churches, and colleges.
Tickets to “Lost and Found” are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. A special group price of $25 is available for an entire immediate family admission. To purchase advance tickets contact Emily Muther at Emily_Muther@Walther.com or call Walther Lutheran High School at 708.344.0404. Walther Lutheran High School is located at 900 Chicago Ave. (one block north of Lake St. on 9th Ave.) in Melrose Park, Illinois.
