WALTHER PLACEMENT TEST AND VISIT DAY SET FOR JANUARY 11

Walther Lutheran High School invites all 8 th grade students to take the high school placement test on Friday, January 11 at 8 a.m. and enjoy a special visit day at the Lutheran college preparatory school. Students are asked to arrive for test room assignments at 7:30 a.m. Walther is located at 900 Chicago Avenue in Melrose Park. Test participants must be on time; there will be no admission once the test begins. There is a $30 testing fee. The program concludes at 2:30 p.m.

There is an alternate “test only” date on Saturday, January 12, but Walther's Director of Recruitment, Kevin Charpentier, urges parents to opt for the Friday Placement Test and Visit Day program. “Friday's visit offers participants a unique opportunity to make personal connections with other prospective students,” he explains. “And most importantly,” Charpentier adds, “they will have a chance to interact directly with Walther's strongly committed faculty and staff.”

Following the Friday morning placement test, students will be treated to lunch and then participate in a high school preview as they learn about the spiritual, academic, social and extra-curricular programs offered at Walther. Visiting students will walk through a typical freshman schedule, moving from class to class, meeting teachers, exploring the environment and sampling the Walther classroom experience.

Parents and students are invited to take advantage of other “Getting to Know Walther” options by scheduling a student “Shadow Day” or requesting an elementary or junior high school fan Event Pass.
