Bridging Classes

The following courses are offered for incoming students to ease their transtion to high school. Classes are geared to individual student needs.

When: Monday, June 16 - Friday, July 18, 2008
(NO SCHOOL on July 4)
Time: Math - 8:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
English - 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Fee: $125.00 per course

The goal for Math is to do math like it was done in the old days before calculators. Work includes basic concepts in: whole numbers, fractions, the number line, and other favorites from the 'rithmetic leg of the 3 R's.

The goal for English is to have students learn skills and strategies to increase comprehension in reading and fluency in writing. This program includes work on understanding and use of study sills. It is designed to form a solid foundation for future success.

Bridging Class Attendance Policy
NO absences are allowed during Summer School.
Students are required to attend ALL scheduled classes.
There are NO exceptions.
