Saturday, March 15th – PSL Indoor Relays Vaughn Center, Aurora, IL

The Lady Broncos began their season at this indoor relay meet.  First place finishers were Jazzmyn Harvey, Ashley Strong and Ashley Simon in the 3 x 55m sprint relay with a time of 22.2, Jazzmyn Harvey, Ashley Strong, Emma Schmidt-Swartz and Ashley Simon in the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:50.8.  Second place relays were the triple jump relay team of Ariella Dunbar, Deanna Richardson and Erica Lams (86'7”), the long jump relay team of Eloise Andrle, Erica Lams and Ashley Simon (43'1”), the 4x800m relay team of Erika Bredehoft, Ingrid Sorensen, Jenna Duff and Ana Garcia (11:42.1), the sprint medley relay team of Stephanie Garcia, Jennifer Buenrostro, Emma Schmidt-Swartz and Nikki Cummuta (4:52.8).  Third place finishers were the high jump team of Victoria Roberts, Eloise Andrle and Janina Flores (12'8”), the shot put team of Dominique White, Olivia Jenkins and Bernice Cash (79'10.5”), the distance medley team of Jenna Duff, Deanna Richardson, Erika Bredehoft and Ana Garcia (14:23.8) and the F/S 4x400m relay team of Janina Flores, Eloise Andrle, Olivia Jenkins and Lynda Turner (5:19.1).  Fourth place finishers were the 4x400m relay team of Deanna Richardson, Morgan Ransom, Ariella Dunbar and Alex Cummuta (4:43.6).

Wednesday, April 2nd at Luther North with Illiana

The girls opened their outdoor season on April 2 nd .  The meet was originally scheduled on Tuesday, but switched to Wednesday since the weather was supposed to be better.  First place finishers were Marlie Richardson in discus (72'7”), Dominique White in shot put (28'6.25”), Alexus Harrison in high jump (4'9”), Ariella Dunbar in triple jump (29'11.5”), 4x100m relay team of Jaquita Walker, Jennifer Buenrostro, Ashley Simon and Jazzmyn Harvey (53.02), Jazzmyn Harvey in the 100m dash (13.27), the 4x200m relay team of Jennifer Buenrostro, Emma Schmidt-Swartz, Ashley Simon and Jazzmyn Harvey (1:54.03), Ana Garcia in the 1600m run (6:04.9) and Jennifer Buenrostro in the 200m dash (29.20).  Second place finishers were Missy Babchak in discus (62'10”), Lauren Bradley in shot put (28'2.75”), Eloise Andrle in high jump (4'8”), Ashley Simon in long jump (15'7”), Deanna Richardson in triple jump (29'3”), the 4x800m relay team of Nikki Cummuta, Ingrid Sorensen, Jenna Duff and Erika Bredehoft (11:52), Jaquita Walker in the 100m dash (14.34), Ana Garcia in the 800m run (2:38.7), the 4x200 relay team of Stephanie Garcia, Deanna Richardson, Ariella Dunbar and Alex Cummuta (1:59.22) and the 4x400m relay team of Nikki Cummuta, Ingrid Sorensen, Jenna Duff and Erika Bredehoft (4:54.8).  Third place finishers were Lynda Turner in discus(54'8”), Olivia Jenkins in shot put (26'2.75”), Janina Flores in high jump (4'6”), Eloise Andrle in triple jump (28'0”), Erica Lams in the 400m dash (1:16.46), Lynda Turner in the 200m dash (31.12) and the 4x400m relay team of Stephanie Garcia, Deanna Richardson, Ariella Dunbar and Alex Cummuta.  Fourth place finishers were Bernice Cash in discus (54'6”) and shot put (25'2”), Victoria Roberts in high jump (4'4”), Eloise Andrle in long jump (13'3.5”), Erica Lams in triple jump (26'3”), Kayleigh Evans in the 800m run (3:09.4) and Eloise Andrle in the 400m dash (1:18.36).  Fifth place finishers were Genice Robinson in the discus (54'1”), Marlie Richardson in shot put (24'6”), Erica Lams in long jump (12'4.5”), Christianna Benson in the 100m hurdles (20.65), Abby Childs in the 100m dash (15.30) and Alexus Harrison in the 300m low hurdles (1:00.12).  Sixth place finishers were Jalisa Hinkle in discus (53'0”), Martha Ross in the shot put (24'4.75”), Victoria Roberts in the 100m high hurdles (21.90), Janina Flores in the 400m dash (1:25.49) and Olivia Jenkins in the 200m dash (31.83).

Saturday, April 5th – Lisle Mega Meet at Benedictine University

The girls finished in second place with 130 points.  That was 31 points behind the winning team of St. Francis with 161 points.  First place finishers were Lynda Turner in discus (95'5”), Lauren Bradley in shot put (29'5”), Ashley Simon (16'0”), the 4x100m relay team of Jaquitta Walker, Jennifer Buenrostro, Ashley Simon & Jazzmyn Harvey (52.63), Ana Garcia in the 3200m run (12:02.90), the 4x200m relay team of Morgan Ransom, Emma Schmidt-Swartz, Ashley Simon & Jazzmyn Harvey (1:53.02) and Ana Garcia in the 1600m run (5:48.47).  Second place finishers were Chante Johnson in shot put (28'5”) and Eloise Andrle in long jump (14'1”).  Third place finishers were Sam Van Tholen in the discus (70'8”), the 4x800m relay team of Nikki Cummuta, Ingrid Sorensen, Jenna Duff and Erika Bredehoft (11:06.46) and the 4x400m relay team of Deanna Richardson, Nikki Cummuta, Morgan Ransom and Alex Cummuta (4:42.18).  Fourth place finishers were Jalisa Hinkle in the discus (70'2”), Alexus Harrison in high jump (4'6”), Jennifer Buenrostro in the 100m dash (13.73) and in the 200m dash (28.29).  Fifth place finishers were Marlie Richardson in the discus (68'10”), Olivia Jenkins in the shot put (25'2”) and Ariella Dunbar in the triple jump (29'10).  Sixth place finishers were Martha Ross in shot put (24'8”), Eloise Andrle in high jump (4'2”), Deanna Richardson in triple jump (29'10”), Christianna Benson in the 100m high hurdles (20.00), Deanna Richardson in the 400m dash, Alexus Harrison in the 300m low hurdles (57.72) and Erika Bredehoft in the 1600m run (6:09.70).

April 8th – Timothy Quad with Wheaton Academy and Immaculate Conception

On a rainy and cold Tuesday, the meet was suspended after 6 running events.  Team scores were not kept.  First place finishers were Lauren Bradley in the shot put (31' 3.5”), Ashley Simon in long jump (14' 1”) and Deanna Richardson in triple jump (28' 4”).  Second place finishers were Eloise Andrle in triple jump (26' 11”), the 4x100m  relay team of Jaquitta Walker, Jennifer Buenrostro, Ashley Simon and Jazzmyn Harvey (55.4) and Christianna Benson in the 100m high hurdles (20.1).  Third place finishers were Dominique White in shot put (29' 0”), Eloise Andrle in long jump (12' 3.5”), Alexus Harrison in the 100m high hurdles (20.5) and Ana Garcia in the 800m run (3:03.0).  Ariella Dunbar finished fourth in triple jump (21'8”).  Fifth place finishers were Olivia Jenkins and Bernice Cash who tied in shot put (26' 2”), Jaquitta Walker in the 100m dash (14.5) and Kayleigh Evans in the 800m run (3:11.2).

April 11th – Matt Wulf Invitational at Yorkville

The team finished in fourth place out of eight teams at the Matt Wulf Invitational with 79.5 points.  Wheaton St. Francis won the meet with 133 points.  First place finishers were the 4x100m relay team of Jaquitta Walker, Emma Schmidt-Swartz, Ashley Simon and Jazzmyn Harvey (53.94) and the 4x200m relay team of Morgan Ransom, Emma Schmidt-Swartz, Ashley Simon and Jazzmyn Harvey (1:50.02).  Second place finishers were Ashley Simon in the long jump (15'7.5”) and Ana Garcia in the 1600m run (5:57.63).  Third place finishers were Sam Van Tholen in the discus (77' 10”), Chante Johnson in the shot put (30' 5”), the 4x800m relay team of Erika Bredehoft, Jenna Duff, Nikki Cummuta and Ana Garcia (11:08.65) and Jazzmyn Harvey in the 200m dash (28.57).  Fourth place finishers were Lauren Bradley in shot put (28' 6”), Ariella Dunbar in triple jump (31' 5”), Deanna Richardson in the 400m dash (1:09.61) and Emma Schmidt-Swartz in the 200m dash (28.58).  Deanna Richardson finished fifth in the triple jump (31' 2”).  Sixth place finishers were Alexus Harrison in high jump (4' 4”) and the 300m low hurdles (58.53), Erika Bredehoft in the 1600m run (6:14.89) and the 4x400m relay team of Stephanie Garcia, Deanna Richardson, Alex Cummuta and Morgan Ransom (4:43.17).

Tuesday, April 15th – at Westmont with St. Joe's

The team took first place with 79 points.  Westmont was second with 69 points and St. Joe's finished in third with 27 points.  First place finishers were the 4x800m relay team of Erika Bredehoft, Jenna Duff, Nikki Cummuta and Ana Garcia (11:14.19), Jazzmyn Harvey in the 100m dash (12.9), Ingrid Sorensen in the 1600m run (6:57.8), Jazzmyn Harvey in the 200m dash (28.6), Alexus Harrison in high jump (4'6”) and Sam Van Tholen in the discus (90'6”).  Second place finishers were the 4x100m relay team (57.29), Christianna Benson in the 100 hurdles (20.1), Alexus Harrison & Jaquita Walker in the 100m dash (14.1), the 4x200m relay team (2:02.6), Alexus Harrison in the 300m hurdles, Morgan Ransom in the 200m dash (29.0), the 4x400m relay team of Stephanie Garcia, Deanna Richardson, Ariella Dunbar and Alex Cummuta (4:48), Deanna Richardson in triple jump (30'3”), Janina Flores (4'6”) and Lynda Turner in the discus (82'4”).  Third place finishers were Janina Flores in the 100m hurdles (21.3), Kayleigh Evans in the 800m run (2:57), Morgan Ransom in the 400m dash (1:09.8), Christianna Benson in the 300m hurdles, Emma Schmidt-Swartz in the 200m dash (29.2), the second 4x400m relay team of Erika Bredehoft, Jenna Duff, Nikki Cummuta and Ana Garcia (4:55), Deanna Richardson in long jump (12'3.5”), Ariella Dunbar in triple jump (30'2.5”) and Olivia Jenkins in shot put (27'.5”).  Fourth place finishers were Deanna Richardson in the 400m dash (1:11.2), Janina Flores in the 300m hurdles, Eloise Andrle in the long jump (12'3”) and Dominique White in the shot put (26'11”).  Fifth place finishers were Victoria Roberts in the 100m hurdles (21.9), Alex Cummuta in the 400m dash (1:11.4), Eloise Andrle in triple jump (27'5”), Martha Ross in the shot put (26'3”) and Missy Babchak in discus (70'8”).  Sixth place finishers were Victoria Roberts in the 200m dash (32.2), Ariella Dunbar in the long jump (11'5”) and Marlie Richardson in discus (68'2”).

Saturday, April 19th – Midwest Lutheran Meet at Concordia University Chicago

Walther finished in second place out of 9 Lutheran schools with 129 points.  Milwaukee Lutheran won the meet with 193 points. The rain held off for this meet and many girls had their best times and distances of the year.  First place finishers were Ashley Simon in long jump (15'7”), the 400m relay team of Jennifer Buenrostro, Emma Schmidt-Swartz, Ashley Simon and Jazzmyn Harvey (51.41) and Jazzmyn Harvey in the 200m dash (26.98).  Second place finishers were Lauren Bradley in the shot put (31'1”), Deanna Richardson in triple jump (32'3”), the 4x800m relay team of Erika Bredehoft, Jenna Duff, Ingrid Sorensen and Nikki Cummuta (10:49.40), Ana Garcia in the 3200m run (12:04.80) and 1600m run (5:39.30) and Christianna Benson in the 100m hurdles (18.82).  Third place finishers were Chante Johnson in shot put (31'1), Jennifer Buenrostro in the 200m dash (28.27) and Ariella Dunbar in triple jump (31'11”).  Fourth place finishers were Missy Babchak in discus (71'0”), Victoria Roberts in high jump (4'6”), Deanna Richardson in long jump (14'4.5”) and the 400m dash (1:06.23), Nikki Cummuta in the 800m run (2:41.40) and Alexus Harrison in the 300m low hurdles (54.87).  Fifth place finishers were Olivia Jenkins in the shot put (26'4”), Erika Bredehoft in the 1600m run (5:58.20) and the 4x400m relay team of Alex Cummuta, Deanna Richardson, Ariella Dunbar and Nikki Cummuta (4:57.56).  Sixth place finishers were Alexus Harrison in the 100m hurdles (20.23), Jennifer Buenrostro in the 100m dash (13.73) and Stephanie Garcia in the 400m dash (1:08.50).

Tuesday, April 22nd – Chicago Christian

The Lady Broncos won this duel meet 71 to 61.  First place finishers were the 4x100m relay team of Jennifer Buenrostro, Ariella Dunbar, Ashley Simon and Jazzmyn Harvey (53.01), Erika Bredehoft in the 3200m run (12:30.17), Christianna Benson in the 100m hurdles (21.18), Jazzmyn Harvey in the 100m dash (13.47), the 4x200m relay team of Jennifer Buenrostro, Deanna Richardson, Ashley Simon, Jazzmyn Harvey (1:53.48), Alexus Harrison in the 300m hurdles (54.96), Jazzmyn Harvey in the 200m dash (27.41), Lynda Turner in the discus (95'6”), Ashley Simon in the long jump (15'8.75”) and Deanna Richardson in the triple jump (31'7.25”).  Second place finishers were Nikki Cummuta in the 1600m run (6:15.9), Jennifer Buenrostro in the 200m dash (28.71), Deanna Richardson in the long jump (14'2.5”) and Olivia Jenkins in the shot put (27'10.5”).  Third place finishers were Abby Childs in the 100m dash (15.04), Ana Garcia in the 800m run (2:37.8), Erica Lams in the 400m dash (1:12.70), Christianna Benson in the 300m low hurdles (1:00.29), Ariella Dunbar in the 200m dash (28.87), Sam Van Tholen in the discus (80'6”), Eloise Andrle in the long jump (12'10.5”), Ariella Dunbar in triple jump (29'10”) and Amy Dubin in the shot put (26'10.5”).

Saturday, April 26th – Wildcat Big 6 Classic Meet at Luther North

With less than half the team at this meet, the girls took first place out of six teams.  Walther had 138 points and Luther North took second with 111 points.  First place finishers were Victoria Roberts in the 100m high hurdles (21.07) and the 800m relay team of Abby Childs, Erica Lams, Eloise Andrle and Olivia Jenkins (2:06.59).  Second place finishers were Amy Dubin in discus (72'5”) and shot put (26'5”), Janina Flores in high jump (4'2”), Eloise Andrle in the triple jump (27'6.5”), the 4x100m relay team of Abby Childs, Julia Sanders, Jasmine Pullen and Shonda Ladd (1:01.85), Janina Flores in the 100m high hurdles (21.40) and the 300m hurdles (1:01.76) and Victoria Roberts in the 200m dash (28.80).  Third place finishers were Missy Babchak in the discus (72'3.5”), Victoria Roberts in the high jump (4'0”) and Erica Lams in the triple jump (26'10”).  Fourth place finishers were Jalisa Hinkle in discus (70'8.5”), Olivia Jenkins in shot put (24'1”), Eloise Andrle in high jump (3'10”), Erica Lams in long jump (12'8”) and Kayleigh Evans in the 800m run (3:01.20).  Fifth place finishers were Marlie Richardson in the discus (58'3.25”) and shot put (23'11.5”), Eloise Andrle in the long jump (12'5”), Abby Childs in the 100m dash (14.89) and Kayleigh Evans in the 1600m run (6:52.40).

Saturday, April 26th – at Ridgewood Track & Field Invitational

The other half of the team finished in second place at Ridgewood.  West Leyden finished in first with 148 points and Walther had 139.  First place finishers were Ana Garcia in the 1600m run (5:54), the 4x100m relay team of Jaquitta Walker, Jennifer Buenrostro, Ashley Simon and Jazzmyn Harvey (53.50), the 4x200m relay team of Morgan Ransom, Deanna Richardson, Jennifer Buenrostro and Jazzmyn Harvey (1:52.80), the 4x800m relay team of Erika Bredehoft, Jenna Duff, Ingrid Sorensen and Nikki Cummuta (11:07.40), Ashley Simon in long jump (14'9”)  and Deanna Richardson in the triple jump (31'8”).  Second place finishers were Lynda Turner in discus (102'3”), Jazzmyn Harvey in the 200m dash (28.1), Erika Bredehoft in the 1600m run (6:04), Ana Garcia in the 3200m run (12:21) and Christianna Benson in the 100m hurdles (18.4).  Third place finishers were the 4x400m relay team of Stephanie Garcia, Deanna Richardson, Alex Cummuta and Morgan Ransom (4:44) and  Jennifer Buenrostro in the 100m dash (13.7).  Fourth place finishers were Alexus Harrison in the 100m hurdles (20.1), Christianna Benson in the 300m hurdles (1:02), Alexus Harrison in the high jump (4'2”), Deanna Richardson in long jump (13'11”) and Ariella Dunbar in the triple jump (29'2”).  Fifth place finishers were Sam Van Tholen in discus (78'6”) and Nikki Cummuta in the 800m run (2:51.1).  Stephanie Garcia finished sixth in the 400m dash (1:11.7).

May 2nd - PSL Finals at Chicago Christian

Walther took second place out of the nine PSL schools at Chicago Christian.  Illiana Christian took first with 205 points and Walther had 101 points.  Conference Champions were Jazzmyn Harvey in the 200m dash (26.07), Lynda Turner in discus (111' 2.5"), Lauren Bradley in shot put (33' 11") and the 800m relay team of Morgan Ransom, Deanna Richardson, Emma Schmidt-Swartz and Jazzmyn Harvey.  The 800m relay team broke the PSL meet record with a time of 1:46.14.  Second place finishers were the 400m relay team of Jaquitta Walker, Jennifer Buenrostro, Emma Schmidt-Swartz and Jazzmyn Harvey (52.00), Ana Garcia in the 1600m run (5:34.48) and Morgan Ransom in the 200m dash (27.02).  Third place finishers were the 3200m relay team of Erika Bredehoft, Jenna Duff, Nikki Cummuta and Ana Garcia (10:58.56).  Fourth place finishers were Christianna Benson in the 100m hurdles (19.15), Alexus Harrison in the 300m hurdles (56.15), the 1600m relay team of Stephanie Garcia, Deanna Richardson, Alex Cummuta and Jenna Duff (4:44.79) and Deanna Richardson in the long jump (13' 9.5") and triple jump (31' 6.25").  Fifth place finishers were Erika Bredehoft in the 800m run (2:39.15) and Lynda Turner in shot put (29' 8").  Sixth place finishers were Nikki Cummuta in the 800m run (2:39.67), Eloise Andrle in the long jump (13' 2") and Ariella Dunbar in the triple jump (30' 6").  The JV 800m relay team of Ariella Dunbar, Victoria Roberts, Janina Flores and Olivia Jenkins finished first (2:02.77) and the JV 400m relay team of Abby Childs, Ariella Dunbar, Victoria Roberts and Janina Flores finished second (56.44).
