The word noble has several meanings.  It is an old English gold
coin.  It can also mean a person of rank, such as a king or queen.  The
meaning we are talking about is having high moral qualities, being
excellent or grand.  No one is perfect, but that doesn't mean we should go
out and commit all sorts of sins.  We should be thinking of what is
noble, not of how to get out of a commitment, how to earn money from doing
something that is wrong, or other things like that.  God has given us
an opportunity to be saved from spiritual death, which none of us are
worthy of because we all have sinned.  In being noble, we are showing how
grateful we are for what God has done for us.  If God sees that we
aren't grateful, He will say,"these people don't care for the sacrifice I
have made for them, they only care about themselves" and He will be
heartbroken.  Being noble isn't hard, but people make it hard for
themselves because they are really materialistic.  Helping people out when they
need help , being honest, not commiting adultery, and going through
with promises are some simple ways to being noble.  "Love God with all
your heart, mind, soul and strength;" and "treat your neighbors as you
would treat yourself" is very good advice to follow if you want to please
God.  Being noble also involves giving up something you have or making
a sacrifice for the better good.  We need to realize how important it
is to be noble and learn to use this quality for the welfare of others
and ourselves.  Let's bow our heads in prayer.

Dear Lord,

Help us be noble to ourselves and others.  Make us better people so we
can worship you to our fullest extent.  Please make it possible for us
to be in Your glory and for us to be able to behave like your true
servants.  In the name of the father, son, and the Holy Spirit.  Amen.
