Last week was a very hectic week. I had a paper due, my final softball game, and of course Sunday was mother’s day. I had so much to do before the week had ended. During all of my rushing and running around I lost my ipod. If you know me, you would realize that this was heartbreaking to me since I love music and I am constantly singing. I frantically looked everywhere for it and I couldn’t find it. My house was torn apart from my search. Of course my ipod is a valuable item and something that one should take care of but this material item is not what’s important. This month and the previous have been very heartbreaking to the Walther family for the losses we have suffered. We have lost irreplaceable and cherished people in God’s family. Unlike my ipod or any material item that we own these people can not ever be replaced or forgotten. The bible verses I choose were Psalms 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints, and John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid . Even through all of the events that we may deem to be unfair in our life, God will be there for us and will grant us peace. Through our faith we can be at peace with everything that has happened in our life. The Walther family greatly misses everyone who has gone to be with our Lord in heaven but, through our faith God grants us the peace for our soul to be well.

Please pray with me.

Dear God thank you for not letting our hearts be troubled. We sometimes think that what you have allowed in our life is too much to bear but we know that through our faith you have granted us peace to bear the events in our life. Thank you lord for blessing us to have the time on earth we have spent with your saints that you have now called to their heavenly home. Please continue to be with the Walther family, and continue to strength our faith. In your name we pray, Amen.
