Whatever is admirable I Phillipians 4:6-9, God tells us what he wants us to fill our minds with. Along with admirable, God says things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely and honorable. To me all these add up to admirable. People want to be admired. But admired by whom? By your best friend, your teachers, the popular crowd in school? As Christians, we know that we want to do things admirable by God. These days so many things are admired in our society that God wouldn't want. We have see above the sinful world around us to make choices that God would see as admirable.
We pray: Dear God, when so much of the things that are admired by the world are sinful, help us to see what is admirable in your eyes. In your name, Amen
