Jesus Answered "I am the way and the Truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me." John 14:6

Jesus tells us that the only way we can have salvation is through him. That only faith in his suffering and death for our sins can save us from the punishment that we deserve.

This is because without him, we are unable to save ourselves. Sometimes it can seem like some people are less sinful than others, or that some people need salvation more than others. Our sinful nature can cause us to judge others in a way that would make it seem as if we are better than them because of what we do. But the truth is that it is not goodness within us, but God working in us that causes us to do good. No matter if someone is seen as "better" or "worse," we all fall short of the perfection the Law requires. Thankfully, by grace Jesus Christ took our sins with him to the cross, and through that same grace we can be with him in eternal life.

Let us Pray: Dear Lord Thank you for taking the burden of our sins to the cross with you, and please help us to remember that you are the way the truth and the life, and without you we would be lost. Amen.
