COVID-19 Update

Walther’s 2021-2022 COVID-19 Policies

Keeping our students and community safe remains a top priority at Walther. While we are excited to return to 100% in-person learning and to provide as normal an experience as we can, we will continue to take steps recommended by public health authorities to mitigate the spread of the virus.

Until further notice, all staff and students are required to wear face coverings while indoors, regardless of vaccination status. This follows a mandate to all Illinois schools by the Governor, as well as the guidance by the CDC, IPDH and ISBE. We do hope that once infection rates subside we can revisit this policy.

We will also maintain the recommended three feet distancing in classrooms, encourage frequent handwashing, sanitize the building daily, monitor positive cases and close contacts for the purpose of quarantining if necessary, and–above all–tell everyone to stay at home if feeling sick!!!

We also highly encourage all who can to get vaccinated.

We appreciate your patience and support, and will update our policies as the situation evolves. As a community and family, we will continue to support each other through this pandemic, rejoicing that we can fully open and serve our students academic excellence and spiritual growth!
