CUC Advantage students

Concordia University of Chicago Advantage Program 

Walther Christian Academy’s curriculum is designed to provide students with a robust, Christ-centered education that prepares them for future success. Through our partnership with Concordia University, students have the unique opportunity to take college-level classes and earn credits towards a degree while still in high school through our Concordia University of Chicago Advantage (CUC). This dual-enrollment program not only enhances academic rigor but also offers a head start on higher education, fostering both academic excellence and spiritual growth. 

  • CUC Advantage is offered to juniors and seniors. 
  • Scholars have the potential to take four classes a year, totaling up to 24 credit hours before graduating high school.
  • Cost is $120 per class, not per credit hour. 
  • CUC hosts an annual spring presentation for interested students. 
  • During the first week of school, all students participating in the program attend CUC for an orientation. During this time they meet key administrators, learn student expectations, receive their ID’s, and tour the campus, their classrooms and learn about parking. 
  • Participation requires a 3.50 cumulative GPA: those with a 3.25-3.49 GPA need a teacher recommendation.
