Walther’s Next Principal

Dr. Terence Swims has been offered and has accepted the position of Walther’s next Principal beginning in the 25-26 school year. He will join Head of School Tim Bouman, Assistant Principal/Dean of Students Dr. Edmond Kelly, and the rest of Walther’s faculty and staff in achieving our mission to “nurture and prepare learners to fulfill their unique God-given potential through academic excellence, spiritual growth, and service, leadership and enrichment opportunities.”

After graduating from Walther as a student active in the fine arts as well as athletics, Dr. Swims earned his BA in Music Education at Wartburg College, his MA in Teaching and Learning at Nova Southeastern University, and his EdD in Educational Leadership at City University of Seattle.  He has over 12 years of teaching experience ranging from elementary to high school, and has five years of administrative experience, having served as a Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Acting Principal. He has served at public, charter and Lutheran schools, and now is excited to be “coming home” to Walther.

We are very excited to welcome Dr. Swims back to the Walther family and wish him success as he takes on the educational and day-to-day leadership responsibilities beginning this fall.

It’s a great day to be a Bronco!
