As part of Walther’s 70th Anniversary, plans are afoot to inaugurate an Athletic Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame will honor alumni by recognizing the milestones and historic moments achieved by those individuals and teams throughout Walther’s history, honoring coaches who made a significant impact on the student-athletes here at Walther, and acknowledging the contributions of supporters of Bronco athletics over the years.

As incredible as it sounds, Walther will turn 70 years old this fall. Our new freshman Class of 2028 will join the proud legacy of decades of Broncos and will continue writing the Walther story. While much has changed, our God has not, and we continue to be blessed in this vibrant ministry of educating youth and sharing God’s love. Please take a few minutes to read here about the Walther of today, and if you have not been here for a while, why not join us on October 25th-26th for Homecoming weekend? In addition to all the usual festivities (see below) it will also feature…our first annual Hall of Fame Brunch, in which we’ll induct our first class into the Walther Athletic Hall of Fame (see above). Make your plans now to come home to Walther.
Finally, congratulations to our Class of 2024 graduates who will become Bronco alumni on June 2nd. They began their freshman journey in the fall of 2020 and have overcome so much adversity. We are proud of you!

Please welcome Walther’s new Advancement Director, Bill Koehne ’87, who will start later this summer.
Bill brings to the position decades of knowledge of Walther, its alumni, its faculty and staff, and its traditions. He has been here as a student, as a teacher, and now, as a parent. Professionally, after decades of service at Walther, Bill went on to become a highly effective leader of one of our Association schools, where he was also part of their fundraising efforts. Personally, Bill has a strong work ethic, is friendly and trustworthy, and loves Lutheran education.
Be on the lookout for more from Bill once he comes on board to help us further strengthen Walther’s financial future so that we can be here to serve generations of Broncos to come.
Longtime Walther teacher Lucia Ehretsman went to meet her Lord earlier this month. Beloved by many, she will not be forgotten.

Spend the weekend of October 25 and 26 with Walther Christian Academy. On Friday, October 25 we will be hosting our annual Alumni Dinner at the school. You will be treated to a tour of Walther, a great dinner, and an alumni concert. Private reunion classrooms are also available to kick off your reunion weekend, including the Class of 1974’s 50th. On Saturday, October 26, join us for an alumni Chapel service and our Erin Stanley memorial softball game. Then cheer on the Broncos as Coach Hyt leads them against Westmont.
